Daniel Morad will make his full-time return to SRO America competition, having been confirmed in TR3 Racing’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for the remainder of the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season.
Morad replaces Will Bamber in the Pro-Am class entry with immediate effect following Bamber’s termination from the Florida-based team in both GTWC America and Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America.
The 35-year-old Canadian, a former Mercedes-AMG Performance driver, will team up with Brayton Williams beginning with next month’s round at Circuit of The Americas.
“I’m thrilled to have Daniel back behind the wheel at TR3 Racing,” said team owner Gregory Romanelli. “He’s always been part of our family and is a fantastic teammate both on and off the track. He is a tremendous driver.
“We’ve had a ton of success with [Daniel], and know he will be a great teammate for [Brayton].
“Brayton is very talented and has already shown tremendous drive, and I know that alongside Daniel, the duo will be incredible together. I can’t wait to see them in action at COTA.”
Morad took part in the 2023 GTWC America season with TR3, also at the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG, in what was his most recent outing in the series where he has previously enjoyed notable success in GT3 machinery.
“I am so happy to be back with the TR3 family,” said Morad. “2023 was one of my favorite seasons being in such a great environment.
“It’s exciting to be working with Brayton as well. After watching the first race weekend unfold, there’s a lot of potential and a lot of talent which is very encouraging.”
