New entries from Random Vandals Racing, MMG and AF Corse, as well as a change of manufacturer for Flying Lizard Motorsports, highlight an increased 16-car entry list for this weekend’s Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS races at Road America.

After completing multiple test sessions with its ex-Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3, Random Vandals is set for its highly anticipated GT3 race debut with drivers Kenton Koch and Conor Daly, which will compete in the Pro class.

The No. 99 entry, which debuted during the promoter test day at Virginia International Raceway last month, will complete the Fanatec GT America season, including October’s Indianapolis 8 Hour powered by AWS with BMW factory driver Connor De Phillippi completing the lineup.

Also new for VIR will be MMG’s Porsche 911 GT3 R for Kyle Marcelli and Jean-Frederic Laberge, which debuted at VIR in GT America powered by AWS action with Laberge driving solo. It is entered in the Pro-Am class.

Flying Lizard, meanwhile, will switch from Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo to BMW machinery for its No. 8 entry of Elias Sabo and Andy Lee. It came after Sabo pulled his Aston from competition at VIR over Balance of Performance concerns.

Additionally, DXDT Racing will have a revised lineup in its No. 08 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R, with Bryson Morris teaming up with Bryan Sellers.

The VIR round, meanwhile, will see the return of the Am class, with Alan Metni again teaming up with Will Hardeman in the No. 19 Esses Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, while AF Corse will enter a Ferrari 296 GT3 for Jay Schreibman and Oswaldo Negri, also in Am.

With the CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG of George Kurtz and Colin Braun withdrawn for the second consecutive event, it leaves nine Pro-Am class entries, led by ST Racing’s Samantha Tan and Neil Verhagen.

The duo hold a 46-point lead over Justin Rothberg and Robby Foley of Turner Motorsport, in second, with Regulator Racing’s Philip Ellis and Jeff Burton set to take over third from Kurtz and Braun by virtue of competing this weekend.

Wright Motorsports’ Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer, meanwhile, extended their Pro class points lead following a runner-up finish in Race 1 at VIR.

The drivers of the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R currently sit 36 points ahead of ST’s Varun Choksey and Bill Auberlen, with Alec Udell and Tommy Milner, who hold four consecutive class wins since making their debut at Circuit of The Americas in the No. 63 DXDT Corvette, moving into third in the standings with five races to go.

Track action at Road America gets underway on Thursday with two test sessions, followed by practice on Friday, qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday.

Qualifying and both 90-minute races will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel, as well as on Twitch.
