NGT Motorsport has confirmed that brothers Henrique and Eduardo Cisneros will race in Pirelli World Challenge this season, as part of the team’s two-car effort into the championship.
Henrique Cisneros will be in the No. 30 MOMO NGT Motorsport Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 in the GT-A class.
The number, sponsor and manufacturer reunion on its own brings back memories of the No. 30 MOMO Ferrari 333 SP prototype that achieved a wealth of success in the 1990s.
“We are really excited about the Ferrari and about being a part of Pirelli World Challenge,” Henrique Cisneros said.
“It’s also great to see a Ferrari once again bear the MOMO brand. MOMO began with Ferrari, so we are really pleased to be able to bring it around full circle.”
Meanwhile, Eduardo Cisneros will run the No. 29 NGT Motorsport Porsche in the GT Cup Presented by MOMO class.
The GT-A class entry is pushing 20 cars, while Eduardo Cisneros will be part of a 10-car entry into the GT Cup class debut at Circuit of the Americas next week.
“The Ferrari project has been very exciting for us,” team owner Ramez Wahab said. “We have received great support from our partners at Michelotto, and we are looking forward to being a part of the great competition in the Pirelli World Challenge.”
The Miami-based team moves over from IMSA competition, having withdrawn from the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship last year. It will, however, continue in IMSA’s Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA in 2015.
