SRO America has announced that it will organize a pre-season test for its competitors at NOLA Motorsports Park, ahead of the start of the 2023 seasons, including Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS.
The New Orleans venue, which served as a late replacement to Ozarks International Raceway on the 2022 calendar, will return as the second round of the GTWC America and Pirelli GT4 America seasons in late April.
The two-day official test, meanwhile, has been confirmed for Feb. 22-23, which was the original week of this year’s season-opener prior to a calendar shift that pushed NOLA back by two months.
Per a bulletin sent to teams, the test will not be mandatory although GT3 and GT4 competitors will have four hours of available track time over the two days of running in separate sessions.
The series will also utilize the test to undertake Balance of Performance testing for the TC class of TC America presented by Skip Barber.
GT3 and GT4 BoP testing, as usual, will take place at Circuit Paul Ricard in early March.
