A 59-car entry list has been revealed for next week’s second round of the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup at Monza.
While there are no changes to the lineup of cars and teams from the opening round of the series at Paul Ricard in April, there are several new drivers.
One car has switched from the Pro class to the Gold Cup: the No. 611 Nordique Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, which will be shared by Edoardo Liberati, Tim Sandtler and Toyota-contracted driver Kazuto Kotaka.
Sandtler replaces Yuichi Nakayama, another Toyota driver, who faces a clash with the Fuji 24 Hours.
It leaves 16 cars in the Pro class, with the Gold Cup swelling to 10 cars, while the Silver and Bronze classes remain static at 17 and 16 cars respectively.
Another change concerns the No. 22 Schumacher CLRT Porsche 911 GT3 R, with Larry ten Voorde taking the place of Laurin Heinrich, who is on IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship duties in Detroit, alongside Klaus Bachler and Ayhancan Guven.
Elsewhere in the Pro class, the No. 163 VSR Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 sees Mattia Michelotto replacing Marco Mapelli, who is also on IMSA duties in Detroit.
In the Silver Cup, the No. 24 Steller Motorsport Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R has a refreshed lineup as Daniel Ali takes the place of Kiern Jewiss.
The No. 54 Dinamic GT Porsche meanwhile sees Mikkel Pedersen replace Matteo Llarena.
Another significant change is BTCC champion Ash Sutton joining Sean Gelael and Darren Leung in the Bronze Cup-entered No. 991 Paradine Competition BMW M4 GT3, taking over from Dan Harper, who is also on duty in Detroit.
A pair of paid practice sessions and a Bronze test take place on Friday May 30, before free practice and Pre-Qualifying on Saturday May 31. Qualifying proper is slated for Sunday June 1 ahead of the three-hour race.
