Adrian Amstutz has sustained a broken rib and second degree burns following an accident Sunday morning in the Total 24 Hours of Spa.

The Swiss driver lost control of his No. 77 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3 at Stavelot in the 14th hour, which saw the Pro-Am class entry make contact with the barriers and catch fire.

Amstutz was extracted and taken to the circuit medical center before being transported to Liege hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Barwell Managing Director Mark Lemmer is currently with Amstutz at the hospital.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the circuit marshals, incident team and medical team for their fantastic efforts, plus also the Race Director and all of the team at SRO for their help,” said team owner Chris Needell.

Corvette Racing factory driver on-loan Oliver Gavin was part of the No. 77 car’s lineup, alongside Amstutz, Martin Kodric and 2016 Lamborghini World Final winner Patrick Kujala.
