40 Cars Entered For 24 Hours of Spa Official Test Day

Less than 24 hours after the third round of the Blancpain Endurance Series SRO announced 40 cars have been entered for the official test day at Spa-Francorchamps.

This Wednesday the series regulars as well as 24 Hours of Spa only entrants will be able to test at Spa-Francorchamps between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.. Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes, Nissan and Porsche will all have at least one car running.

Belgian Audi Club Team WRT will bring four Audi R8 LMS ultra race cars to Spa, while AF Corse has entered three Ferrari 458 Italia for the test, while Blancpain Endurance Series championship leaders M-Sport Bentley will head down to the Ardennes with a pair of Bentley Continental GT3 cars.

I.S.R. Racing has entered its new Audi R8 LMS ultra for the test. The Czech team plans to race at Spa-Francorchamps and two other rounds of the Blancpain GT Series.

Motorbase Performance, which runs the Oman Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage, will enter a second Aston Martin under its own banner. Other Aston Martin teams competing in the test are MP Motorsport, Leonard Motorsport, Strata 21 and PGF-Kinfaun.

Marc VDS Racing Team will return to Spa with a single BMW Z4 GT3 for the official test, while Australia’s Lago Racing has also entered its Lamborghini for the test.

Three additional Porsches will join Pro GT by Almeras in Belgium. Fach Auto Tech, Wochenspiegel Team Manthey and Delahaye Racing will all be running a Porsche 997 GT3 R during the test.
