Toni Vilander will join the grid of the Total 24 Hours of Spa later this month, competing in one of AF Corse’s four Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 cars entered in the Pro-Am Cup.
The Finnish factory ace strengthens the lineup of the No. 52 car, regularily piloted by Adrien De Leener and Cedric Sbirrazzuoli.
Gold-rated Raffaele Gianmaria takes up the fourth and final spot in the lineup, resulting in the maximum allowed composition of bronze-silver-gold-platinum drivers.
“Initially we were looking at doing it in three drivers, but this would have been tough for a first 24h, especially against mostly four-driver crews,” said American-based Belgian De Leener.
“We are very excited to have confirmation of Toni joining us for the race and after spending some time with Raffaele during test days we knew having him join the line up would be a great addition as he brings a great amount of experience with the GT3.”
Gianmaria Bruni was already confirmed next the Alessandro Pier Guidi, Pasin Lathouras and Stéphane Lémeret in the No. 47 AF Corse Ferrari.
