The BMW M4 GT3s have had their mid-event weight break for the 3 Hours of Monza reversed in a Balance of Performance change issued after the German manufacturer dominated qualifying.

All BMWs have been returned to the base 1315 kg minumum weight at which they started the weekend, undoing a 10 kg reduction that came after Pre-Qualifying on Saturday afternoon.

It is understood that there has also been a minor turbo boost pressure deduction on part of the RPM range for the 3-liter straight-six powered cars.

Philipp Eng will start the No. 98 ROWE Racing BMW from pole position, with Valentino Rossi lining up alongside the Austrian in the No. 46 Team WRT machine.

The pre-race adjustment also gave a 10 kg increase to the Mclaren 720S GT3 Evo, which rescinds part of a 15 kg reduction that was applied before qualifying.

A further 5 kg break has been handed to the Ferrari 296 GT3 ahead of its GTWC Europe debut, in addition to the 20 kg reduction it received in the first mid-weekend change.

Porsche teams will also take an additional 5 kg reduction in their minimum weight, amounting to 15 kg since the event started on Saturday morning.

The actual weights of the cars competing at Monza will vary depending on the ballast that is added to compensate for weight differences in each driver lineup.
