Akkodis ASP has adjusted its title-winning lineup in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup, with Timur Boguslavskiy joining defending champions Jules Gounon and Raffaele Marciello at the French squad.
Boguslavskiy is returning to ASP’s Endurance Cup roster for the first time since 2020 when he won the combined championship taking points from both Endurance and Sprint.
Gounon and Marciello clinched the title alongside fellow Mercedes-AMG factory driver Daniel Juncadella with a strong campaign that included winning the 24 Hours of Spa.
Juncadella is focusing on other racing programs this year, including an IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD Pro entry with Gounon. His only GTWC Europe outing is set to come at Spa, as part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli.
Akkodis ASP has increased its Pro stable to two Mercedes-AMGs for its title defense, with the No. 87 machine set to be driven by Thomas Drouet, Lorenzo Ferrari and 2021 DTM champion Maximilian Goetz.
Drouet has driven for ASP before in other classes, while 2021 Italian GT champion Ferrari previously worked with Audi squad Tresor by Car Collection in GTWC Europe.
Goetz, meanwhile, is set for his first full season in Endurance Cup since 2018 when he represented Strakka Racing. That was also the last time Akkodis ASP fielded multiple Pro cars in the series on a full-time basis.
Jerome Policand’s organization will also compete in GTWC Europe Sprint Cup this year with the unchanged Pro pairing of Marciello and Boguslavskiy, who are returning for a fourth season together.
Boguslavskiy and reigning ADAC GT Masters champion Marciello have consistently been front-runners in the 60-minute race series, finishing second in the standings behind Team WRT’s Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts on two occasions including last year.
In addition to the No. 88 car, Akkodis ASP will field its No. 87 Mercedes-AMG in the Bronze Cup class with Jim Pla and Eric Debard sharing the wheel.
