SRO announced Monday a date change for its Blancpain Sprint Series race at Zolder. The penultimate round of the series has been postponed by one week and will now take place on Oct. 18-19.
The change now sees only a two-week break between the Belgian round and the series’ flyaway round in Baku, Azerbaijan, which is still subject to an agreement from the event’s promoter.
Zolder has been a mainstay in the calendar of SRO-promoted championships, with it having hosted international GT races for the last seven years.
Peter Kox and Stefan Rosina took their Blancpain Reiter Lamborghini to victory in last year’s FIA GT Series main race.
