Barwell Motorsport has announced a lineup and class change for its No. 76 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 for the next two GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup rounds, with the car moving from Silver to Gold Cup as Ricky Collard replaces Christian Bogle.

Although Bogle’s name appeared on the most recent version on the entry list for the third round of the Sprint Cup campaign, Barwell confirmed on Wednesday that the American racer will not be competing in Italy.

Instead, Collard, who won last year’s British GT Championship with Barwell, will team up with Bijoy Garg aboard the No. 76 car, which will now compete in Gold Cup.

Barwell outlined in a statement that the 28-year-old, who last competed in Sprint Cup in 2019, will join the team for next two rounds at Misano and Magny-Cours, with the lineup for September’s Valencia season finale to be announced “in due course.”

Collard and Garg already teamed up at Barwell as part of the team’s Bronze Cup crew in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, finishing tenth in class alongside Adam Ali and Ricky’s father Rob.

“I’m really excited to be back with Barwell Motorsport and to be sharing with Bijoy for the next four Sprint Cup races,” said Collard.

“I’ve been working with Bijoy for much of the year on the coaching side and I can see the improvements that are being made, so it will be great to get into the car myself for an extended period and hopefully help to accelerate that progress.

“I love Misano, it’s a great circuit. It’s very tight, twisty and challenging, like a go-kart track.

“It reminds me a lot of a British circuit with its layout, and last time I raced there back in 2019 I qualified second overall in an R-Motorsport Aston Martin, so I hope to hit the ground running this weekend and help the team as much as I can.”
