Comtoyou Racing has altered its Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup squad on the eve of the third round of the season at Hockenheim, moving up to four cars and adding Aston Martin factory driver David Pittard.

Pittard has been brought in to replace James Jakes aboard the No. 21 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo in Gold Cup, partnering with Matisse Lismont.

Jakes and Lismont formed a duo for the opening two rounds at Brands Hatch and Misano, but the former IndyCar driver has instead been moved across to a newly added fourth car for the Hockenheim round.

The No. 11 Aston Martin, which will also compete in Gold Cup, features Jakes teaming up with Petru Umbrarescu.

Umbrarescu, hailing from Romania, returns to Fanatec GT Europe for the first time since 2022. He last competed with Akkodis ASP Team and has since raced in ADAC GT Masters with Haupt Racing Team.

The No. 11 car appeared provisionally as a Bronze Cup entry on the entry list for the previous round at Misano, although it did not compete.

In addition to the two Gold Cup entries, Comtoyou will field two further cars with one entered into the Pro class and one in Silver Cup.

Newly crowned CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa winner Mattia Drudi will share the No. 7 car with Nicolas Baert, while Lorens Lecertua and Dante Rappange continue their Silver Cup partnership from Misano.
