CSA Racing will switch from Audi to McLaren in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS as part of a new “long-term partnership” with the British manufacturer.

The French squad has been campaigning Audi machinery for the past three years, first debuting in the FFSA GT Championship before stepping up into Fanatec GT Europe last year.

It enjoyed its strongest season to date in the Sprint Cup this year, with Simon Gachet and Lucas Legeret taking two class victories en route to second in the Gold Cup standings.

As part of its new partnership with McLaren, the team will embark on a two-car effort in both the Sprint and Endurance championships, one of which will be a Pro entry.

This past season, only British squad Garage 59 fielded Pro entries for McLaren in either Endurance or Sprint competition.

CSA becomes the latest squad in recent years to depart Audi after the Ingolstadt marque shuttered its factory-supported racing activities at the start of this year.

Comtoyou Racing and Boutsen VDS switched to Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG, respectively, ahead of the start of this year’s Fanatec GT Europe season while ABT Sportsline ended its decades-long DTM partnership with the Ingolstadt brand in favor of a move to Lamborghini.

Audi recently delivered the 310th and final R8 LMS race car produced to Michelin 24H Series regular Michael Doppelmayr.
