Emil Frey to Run Lexus GT3s in Blancpain GT

Emil Frey will run a pair of Lexus RC F GT3s in the Blancpain GT Series this season, under the Emil Frey Lexus Racing banner.

The Swiss team will be the first to use the car full-time in Blancpain GT after entering a single round with it last season.

Albert Costa and Stephane Ortelli piloted a Lexus GT3 in the Blancpain GT Sprint Cup finale at the Nürburgring in September.

Emil Frey was one of two teams racing the car in International GT Open last year, with Costa and Philipp Frommenwiler scoring four race wins en route to third in the championship.

The future of Emil Frey’s Jaguar G3, which is has run in Blancpain GT for the past few seasons, remains uncertain.

Toyota has also announced that the car will take part in VLN races this season, although with a currently unannounced team.
