K-PAX Racing has presented a one-off livery for its participation in the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa relating to its partnership with electric motor company Orange1.
The Californian team is heading to Europe this month with a single Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo driven by Andrea Caldarelli, Marco Mapelli and Jordan Pepper.
K-PAX races full-time in Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS where it has won all six races held so far this year.
The team announced its Orange1 backing for Spa last month, bringing on board an official Lamborghini partner that has been previously involved with Grasser Racing Team and FFF Racing Team.
“We are delighted to have Orange1 on board, helping us as we look to build from our 2020 debut at the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa,” said K-PAX Racing team owner Jim Haughey.
“Orange1 is an innovative company founded on precision and performance. With that said, our vision and goal to create positive results align.
“K-PAX Racing is ready to return to Spa, mixing our prior experience with renewed determination.”
K-PAX Racing made its Spa debut two years ago with a pair of Bentley Continental GT3s.
It finished 10th and 12th in the race with Pepper, Jules Gounon and Maxime Soulet finishing highest out of the two crews.
K-PAX then switched to Lamborghini for the following year’s GTWC America campaign, taking first and second in the points with Caldarelli and Pepper crowned as champions.
The team’s Spa entry this month comes with factory support from Lamborghini Squadra Corse.
“We’re thrilled to have a partnership between Orange1 Electric Motors and K-Pax, supported by Lamborghini SC,” said Orange1 President Armando Donazzan.
“Everything starts from Spa for an important internationalization of the brand in the US market. This is strategic for the future plans of Orange1.”
