Dennis Lind has joined Sainteloc Racing for the French team’s entry into this weekend’s 3 Hours of Barcelona with the new Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II.
The Intelligent Money British GT Championship points leader will team up with Markus Winkelhock and Finlay Hutchison to give Audi’s 2022-spec GT3 model its debut in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup.
Frederic Vervisch was named in the No. 26 Sainteloc crew on the Barcelona provisional entry list but faces a schedule clash with the FIA World Touring Car Cup round at Most.
The Audi evo II will be fielded as an Invitational entry as part of its development program.
It will run in the same class as the new-for-2022 BMW M4 GT3 which is also joining the grid at Barcelona for its first GTWC Europe race appearance.
Lind drove for Audi Sport Team WRT at the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa where he finished fourth overall alongside Robin Frijns and Nico Mueller.
The Dane also made a cameo with Lamborghini outfit TR3 Racing in last weekend’s GTWC America fixture at Sebring, teaming up with Giacomo Altoe in the Pro class.
Lind races full-time in British GT for Lamborghini squad Barwell Motorsport and is joint first in the standings alongside his co-driver Leo Machitski with the final round to go.
