24 Hours Le Mans GTE-Pro class winner Maxime Martin has replaced Charlie Eastwood in TF Sport’s driver lineup for this weekend’s Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup round at the Nürburgring.

Eastwood has been ruled out of Sunday’s three-hour race in Germany after coming into contact with someone who later tested positive for COVID-19.

Martin joins Ahmad Al Harthy and Giacomo Petrobelli in the Pro-Am class No. 97 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 which is competing under the Oman Racing banner.

The Belgian has not raced an Aston Martin of any type since the Asian Le Mans Series in February when he represented Garage 59.

Martin contested last month’s TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, which marked the third round of the Endurance Cup season, with Porsche outfit KCMG.

He also drove a Porsche 911 GT3 R in the Nürburgring 24 for Frikadelli Racing Team.

Martin continued as an Aston Martin Racing factory driver beyond the conclusion of the manufacturer’s factory GTE-Pro program at the end of the 2019-20 FIA World Endurance Championship.

He finished second in the WEC standings after winning Le Mans alongside Alex Lynn and Harry Tincknell.
