ROWE Racing has revealed its driver lineups for this year’s GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup, with Jake Dennis joining the BMW team.
The Motorsport Competence Group-run outfit expands to a two-car full-season effort in the five-round season that begins at Paul Ricard in April, with a pair of BMW M4 GT3 EVOs featuring a redesigned red-and-white livery that was unveiled last week.
Now the team has firmed up its driver lineups, with 2022-23 Formula E world champion Dennis joining the team to pilot the No. 98 car alongside Augusto Farfus and Raffaele Marciello, effectively replacing Jesse Krohn in the lineup.
Dennis made two Endurance Cup outings for another BMW team, Paradine Competition, last season, and last contested a full campaign in 2019 for R-Motorsport.
The sister No. 998 car, entered in the Gold Cup class, will be shared by Ugo de Wilde, Jens Klingmann and BMW newcomer Tim Tramnitz, who was confirmed as the marque’s second new factory signing only this month.
“This year, we are approaching the GT World Challenge Europe season with a different strategy and have set new goals,” said ROWE team principal Hans-Peter Naundorf.
“After further strengthening and restructuring our team, we are not only focusing mainly on the big season highlight at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, but also aiming for the overall standings in the Endurance Cup.”
ROWE’s reveal follows announcements from fellow BMW squad Team WRT over the past month regarding its GTWC Europe driver lineups.
As previously announced, Jordan Pepper, Kelvin van der Linde and Charles Weerts share the No. 32 car in Endurance Cup, while the sister No. 46 car will be driven by Dan Harper, Max Hesse and full-season returnee Valentino Rossi.
In Sprint Cup, three of BMW’s entries will feature works drivers: the No. 32 car of van der Linde and Weerts, the No. 46 of Hesse and Rossi and the recently-announced No. 31 entry featuring brand newcomer Jordan Pepper alongside Amaury Cordeel.
