Reigning GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup Silver class champion Jamie Day will join Walkenhorst Motorsport for this season for a full campaign.
The 2024 Aston Martin Racing Academy winner impressed in the series last year with the Comtoyou Racing squad.
He will now join factory drivers Christian Krognes and Henrique Chaves at the wheel of one of Walkenhorst’s Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evos for the Endurance Cup.
Krognes and Chaves remain at the squad after contesting a partial Endurance campaign last year.
The full lineup for the team’s second, Silver Cup-entered Aston is yet to be determined but series rookies Mateo Villagomez and Ethan Ischer will feature.
Young drivers will also be the squad’s focus for the Sprint Cup with Day be joined by Villagomez, Maxime Robin and the already-announced SRO GT Academy winner Gaspard Simon. The exact split of drivers between the two cars is yet to be decided.
Team boss Joerg Breuer described the squad’s lineups so far as “very promising.”
“Our Pro car will be driven by two Aston Martin factory drivers, both of whom we know very well,” he said.
“In addition, Jamie Day, an up-and-coming talent who impressed with strong performances last year, will be joining our team.
“We are currently testing other talented drivers for our Silver Cup car so that we can put together the best possible team for the upcoming season.”
