Rinaldi Racing will expand into the Blancpain Sprint Series this season, as the German team enters a Ferrari 458 Italia in the top class.

Marco Seefried and Norbert Siedler will share the cockpit of a Ferrari 458 Italia, giving Italian GT3 a realistic shot at fighting for the overall win in the one-hour sprint races.

“With Marco and Norbert we [were able to] sign two strong drivers [with whom] we can aim for podium finishes,” Michele Rinaldi explained.

In the Blancpain Endurance Series, the two will team up with Rinat Salikhov (Silver) in the Pro Cup, the Russian having already raced with the team in Monza and Silverstone last year.

Rinaldi will also enter a second car in the five-round series with a yet to be determined lineup.

“We are really glad that we were able to realize such a comprehensive program this season, both Blancpain series are a quite demanding matter,” Rinaldi continued.

The team further plans to enter some VLN races, the Nürburgring 24 hours, as well as a couple of starts in Creventic’s 24H Series.
