VIDEO: Michelin GTLM Track to Street Showdown

Michelin’s photo shoot of GTLM race cars and production counterparts…

Michelin and its technical partners from BMW, Chevrolet Corvette, Ferrari, Ford and Porsche joined together in a unique collaboration at Sebring to illustrate the depth of their respective track-to-street technology transfers.

Each of the five Michelin technical partners in the powerful IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT Le Mans class presented one of its team’s current race cars and the corresponding production model for a full day creative session.

Take a look at the ultimate showroom showdown as the cars hit the track with both their Michelin-equipped road and race cars.

Yes why we love them. If rich can buy them relatively close to the real thing on the track. GT3 even more so. Cool video. All the racing versions with the aero and slammed to ground are bigger looking lines and taller street versions smaller. Cool to see them side by side

Every car looked good but I must say the Ford GT looked a little over kill in the GTLM class . Come on ford build a car in the corvette market if you plan to race in that class in IMSA. Carroll Shelby used to say we build a car the working man can buy. Corvette does just that.

I owned a new 05 Ford GT when they were reasonably priced. Put an application in and was like most turned down. Would I have blown $500K with tax hell no.

I suppose they had to wait a year for the Ford to actually have a road car version.
