The SRT Motorsports Dodge Viper GTS-Rs will have a new, but familiar look, heading into next weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen as the pair of factory GT LM contenders will return to the classic red and white livery for the remainder of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season.
The retro colors were the same worn by Dodge Viper entries that took the overall victory in the Rolex 24 At Daytona in 2000, a GTS class win in the 2000 24 Hours of Le Mans, and American Le Mans Series championships in 1999 and 2000.
In the below exclusive video, Beth Paretta, marketing director of SRT Motorsports, explains the reasoning for Viper’s livery switch, as well as updating on SRT’s initiatives with the new Viper GT3-R customer car around the globe.
