Since it’s MRN doing the broadcast, it’s bad. Won’t help make new fans interested when the broadcasters don’t either.

      February 28, 2014 at 6:37 pm

I don’t get why they never learn from mistakes, mrn and sports cars just don’t go together

    February 28, 2014 at 6:49 pm

Honestly, that’s not good at all. I was at the 24Hours of Daytona and there were a lot of new fans. Now its going to be complicated for them to follow and its going to make people frustrated as heck. It’s a huge missed opportunity for the series sponsors and all of the teams. Millions of dollars to run these programs and its just a shame for racing in the USA.

Europe gets nine hours of live coverage on Motors with RLM commentary. Amazing that we’re second class citizens in our own national series.

hope someone puts that on youtube

        March 1, 2014 at 9:03 am

Well I have no doubt that the full 12 hour race will be replayed online. But hopefully this time it will be up by the following Monday night at least.

        • Bakkster

          March 1, 2014 at 9:21 pm

He’s looking for the 12 hours with RLM instead of Fox commentators.

    • ikehaiku

      February 28, 2014 at 10:11 pm

      Well, not all Europe.
Here in France, we’ll have the French MotorsTV, without RLM (and sub-par commentary), and, an image quality that just make you eyes bleed. I watched the Daytona on a random net stream, that was still better than MotorsTV broadcast picture-wise

    • Lyra

      March 1, 2014 at 2:38 am

You’re wrong, there is no RLM commentary of this series as NASCAR gave the radio rights to MRN

      • Lyra

        March 1, 2014 at 2:44 am

Though now that I checked it, Hindy @ twitter is rambling something about RLM having comms for Sebring now… umm

        • Shea

          March 1, 2014 at 6:55 pm

RLM is covering Sebring remotely for MotorsTV, not for the US. RLM is not allowed to broadcast the race in the US as MRN has the rights to that. I will be on site, but not with a microphone and sadly not for RLM.

    February 28, 2014 at 7:26 pm

What, only the first 3 hours on TV? And no finish on TV?
…I guess NASCAR blew the budget Sunday on the marathon 500. You think Jr. could front them some change to show more hours. New grandstands cost $$, who needs air time for Sebring.
Pitiful, this is a 12 hr. Race and only see first 3! We see where this race lines up in their pecking order.

  5. Reynaldo

    February 28, 2014 at 7:32 pm

Wow, last year in latinamerica was last 6 hours live on fox sports 3

  6. Reynaldo

    February 28, 2014 at 7:34 pm

this is one of my favorite endurance race, i don’t want see 3 hours (and no the finish)

  7. joseph

    February 28, 2014 at 7:42 pm

Got tired of the audio portion during Daytona real fast. Solution…muted MRN and opened RLM.

    • Michael

      March 1, 2014 at 8:14 am

You realise RLM were re-running their 2013 coverage, right?

      • Pat

        March 1, 2014 at 7:17 pm

        Still better than Radio Tallahassee.

    February 28, 2014 at 8:05 pm

all buddy I smell BS, Fox you bring back the “speed channel”. 3 hour is not good enough for me. This is bad for 24 hours of LeMans for all the US fans

  10. Anonymous

    February 28, 2014 at 8:15 pm

Great so we get three hours of mediocre commentary and coverage followed by nine hours of godawful MRN broadcasting. Thank god for I’m car cameras that’s probably going to be the only way to enjoy a race for a while.

  11. Jaguar4

    February 28, 2014 at 8:27 pm

It said nothing about MRN radio doing the live stream. It could be the FOX crew

    • John

      February 28, 2014 at 8:50 pm

Yeah so we get bob varsha constantly mixing drivers up or forgetting what race it is. He called Daytona Le Mans about nine times in January. Dorsey and Calvin will spend their time reminiscing about racing 30 years ago and completely ignore the race. Only Justin Tommy and Brian are actually interesting to here and they get the least air time.

      • Jaguar4

        February 28, 2014 at 8:56 pm

Dude. People make mistakes. Are you telling me if you were commentating the race that you would NEVER screw up? Give me a break

        • John

          February 28, 2014 at 9:21 pm

From a guy who has been doing broadcasting for years a few mistakes is fine but with him it’s constant he called the race Le Mans multiple times said the DW had a Nissan in the race then corrected himself to say it had one last year still not correct it had one in 2012. The list goes on. A few is human but that number of mistaks shows a lack of research on the teams and drivers. A free guide was available online and I believe was handed out at the track.

          • Bakkster

            March 1, 2014 at 2:48 pm

Still better than MRN. Varsha at least has done sports cars for a decade or so. He doesn’t need to be perfect, just good enough.

          • sukr8zee

            March 14, 2014 at 8:10 am

Yes, we are all human but I agree with you John. When you are a “prfoessional” and it’s your “job” to know these things and to inform your listeners (who rely on you to know your stuff) you had better be abreast of what you are commenting on or find a new career!!

    • LM mike

      February 28, 2014 at 8:54 pm

I sure hope so MRN guys keep on talking about NASCAR every 5 seconds. annoying!

      • John

        February 28, 2014 at 9:24 pm

That and listening to them horribly mispronounce anyone names that isn’t “American”. Ranger Van der Zander had his name slaughterd by them.

Max-i-may Martin, brother of Mark Martin?

I refuse to pay Direct Tv more money for FS1 this whole deal sucks hope its on Sirius.

  13. Nick

    February 28, 2014 at 10:09 pm

*sigh* Well, I guess that means we can expect the 1 Hrs of Le Mans highlight show next January. Fox Sports just sucks, I can’t come up with anything else and shame on TUSC, NASCAR, IMSA, take your pick, for agreeing to such a crap TV package…probably the genius atherton. Pathetic!

  14. Adrian

    March 1, 2014 at 1:45 am

This new series is already going down the crapper.

  15. lanky Turtle

    March 1, 2014 at 2:29 am

Pathetic. Imagine if they showed the first 125 miles of the Daytona 500 and then said “tune into the internet to watch the finish”. It’s probably too late now but hopefully they will see the folly of their ways and at least show the last hour on FS1.

  16. Simon

    March 1, 2014 at 3:20 am

Wow we get full coverage here in the uk! except for a 2 hour break for nascar nationwide series on motors tv. Sorry for you guys in the states 🙁

  17. NaBUru38

    March 1, 2014 at 5:33 am

Not a single minute on Fox Sports 2 USA? That’s very bad news.

I hope that I can watch it on Fox Sports 3 here in Uruguay.

    • Reynaldo

      March 1, 2014 at 1:06 pm

me too, i am from argentina.

  18. Jason

    March 1, 2014 at 9:14 am

That’s less TV coverage then last year.. The series is really becoming a joke. What about all the hype over the new TV deal.. BS

  19. Redcap

    March 1, 2014 at 9:39 am

Conspiracy theory here. Maybe NASCAR realizes this series could potentially become more popular in a few years than going around in circles. Hence, bad tv coverage for one of the most iconic races in the world. I always go to Sebring and spend most of race day on the fence. However, i will miss satellite TV coverage in the coach when taking a break. Are we spoiled or what?

  20. JimiRB

    March 1, 2014 at 2:24 pm

Yea, I was trying to be optimistic and give the new series a chance,
but it looks like NASCAR is doing their best to ruin it. Hopefully the coverage will work!

    • Harry

      March 1, 2014 at 9:34 pm

My best guess right now, Petite LeMans will probably be on tape delay the next day for 2 hours!

    March 2, 2014 at 9:31 am

Just an FYI, my DirecTV schedule menu shows the followingon Fox Sports 2 in California. Friday, March 14, 3-5 p.m. PST, Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge “Sebring” with no information available after that.

  22. Rob

    March 8, 2014 at 8:53 am

ISC has already ruined AMA motorcycle road racing. No TV contact of any kind for 2014..

  23. John

    March 8, 2014 at 10:16 am

Why does Fox only broadcast the first few hours of Sebring 12 hour and then nothing? If it were a NASCAR, we would have to suffer for the entire race, round & round.

  24. Dennis

    March 14, 2014 at 12:38 pm

In Germany theres will be full 12h broadcast on Motors Tv. Sand fort all others…:)))))

I agree with much of the above disgust- my first year was 1966 and
with some blanks made the race and the club activities between
tours in beautiful SE Aisa if you get that drift–68-72
As an old Triumph TR 3 early era fool I had great respect for Group 44
and its Sebring events- Hope Bob T is still going strong with his
    plane and mini museum there
Have seen the transition and had better hopes for the coverage this year–a true travesty on the FOX decision–I liked the comment on
NASCAR–They ARE worried–Come on Doc Panoz – exercise some leverage here if you have it! What is the sream options and how?

Appreciate some help for this 73 yr old road racer–Thanks
