Former Aston Martin Racing driver Fernando Rees will make his return to Larbre Competition, with the Brazilian having been announced as the final driver in the team’s GTE-Am lineup for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Rees will join the previously confirmed Christian Philippon and Romain Brandela in the team’s Corvette C7.R, which has also been entered for next month’s European Le Mans Series round at Monza.

He is no stranger to the Jack Leconte-led squad, having taken part in selected races with Larbre from 2010-13 in Saleen S7-Rs and Corvette C6.Rs.

Le Mans and the four-hour ELMS race at Monza are the only two races currently scheduled for the French team, as a deal to field a season-long GTE-Pro class Corvette entry for Ricky and Jordan Taylor fell through at the 11th hour, just hours before the FIA World Endurance Championship and Le Mans entry request deadline in January.

Ricky Taylor, who was initially listed as Larbre’s nominated driver for its Le Mans GTE-Am entry, has since been confirmed in Keating Motorsports’ Riley Mk. 30 Gibson in LMP2, with Jordan set to remain part of the factory GTE-Pro squad for the race, although not yet officially announced.
