Car Collection Motorsport secured a 1-2 in rain-hit qualifying for the Hankook 12H Spa-Francorchamps, with both of its Porsches starting the race from the front row.

The No. 12 Porsche 911 GT3 R of Alex Jacoma, Yannick Mettler, Hash and Ivan Fontana recording a combined time of 2:41.433 across three seasons to lead its No. 80 sister car by 0.916 seconds.

That car was piloted by an all-Hong Kong lineup consisting of reigning Intercontinental GT Challenge Independent Cup winner Jonathan Hui as well as Antares Au and Kevin Tse.

Hui, Au and Tse narrowly outpaced last year’s 12H Spa polesitters HAAS RT, with the No. 1 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II of Gregory Servais, Xavier Knauf and Tim Mueller coming up short by 0.154 seconds.

ARC Bratislava’s No. 44 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo qualified fourth, while the No. 91 Herberth Motorsport Porsche of Scott Noble, Ralf Bohn and Jason Hart rounded out the overall top five.

The No. 5 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 of Nicolo Rosi, Andrew Gilbert, Fran Rueda and Fons Scheltema was the only other GT3 entry to outqualify the best of the 992-class runners in a qualifying session that was impacted by rain and changeable conditions.

Swedish squad ALFAB Racing, meanwhile, claimed GT4 pole position with their No. 400 McLaren Artura GT4 of Erik Behrens and Daniel Roos.

They posted a combined time of 2:52.683, beating both the No. 438 Simpson Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 driven by Charlie Robertson, Ravi Ramyead and Vasily Vladykin as well as the No. 424 Lionspeed GP Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS.

The first five hours of the Hankook 12H Spa-Francorchamps kick off Saturday at 12:50 p.m. CEST (6:50 a.m. EDT).

Live coverage will be provided the 24H Series YouTube channel, with the broadcast team consisting of Jonny Palmer, Peter Snowdon and Diana Binks.
