IMSA has again adjusted the minimum weights of the Acura ARX-05 and Cadillac DPi-V.R as part of the latest round of Balance of Performance adjustments ahead of next weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.
Issued in a technical bulletin on Thursday, the Acura will now run at a minimum weight of 930 kg, marking a 10 kg increase, while the Cadillac has been given a 15 kg weight break, bringing it down to 945 kg, in what has been a net gain of 25 kg to the Caddys.
The adjustments now bring the two DPi contenders within 15 kg of each other.
It comes as the fourth consecutive weight adjustment for the Dallara-chassied Cadillac and the first for the ORECA-based Acura since Long Beach in April when it lost 10 kg.
Other BoP changes include a 10 kg increase in the minimum weight for the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020, along with a 3-liter increase in fuel capacity.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 gets 1 liter of additional fuel capacity while the McLaren 720S GT3 loses 2 liters since its last entered race at Mid-Ohio in May.
Additionally, the Oreca 07 Gibson — the only car represented in the LMP2 class — has undergone an adjustment with its rear wing assembly and flap angles.
