SRO Motorsports Group has issued wholesale Balance of Performance adjustments to the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS grid ahead of this afternoon’s first race of the weekend at Road America.
Confirmed following this morning’s qualifying sessions, weight adjustments have been handed out to six of the seven GT3 models taking part this weekend.
The Acura NSX GT3 Evo22, Aston Martin Vantage GT3, BMW M4 GT3 and Type-991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 R have all been given 10 kg weight breaks, with the Type-992 Porsche getting a 20 kg reduction in minimum weight.
The Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, meanwhile, will be 10 kg heavier than its configuration run so far this weekend, with no change made to the Ferrari 296 GT3.
The changes come after a dominant weekend so far from the Mercedes, which picked up Race 2 pole from CrowdStrike by Riley’s Colin Braun, with the car also fastest in both of Friday’s practice sessions with Riley and Bartone Bros Racing by RealTime, respectively.
The first Fanatec GT race of the weekend is on tap for a 3:10 p.m. CDT start time with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
