Raffaele Marciello will part ways with Mercedes-AMG after spending six years with the German brand as a factory driver.

After a season of driving Mercedes-AMG cars following his transition from single seater racing, Marciello joined its factory roster in 2018 and went on to pick up numerous significant accolades behind the wheel of the Stuttgart manufacturer’s GT3 machinery.

Notably, he won the FIA GT World Cup at Macau in 2019, took overall victory at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa last year and won multiple championships in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS as well as the ADAC GT Masters title in 2022.

Marciello, who has been linked to a role with BMW’s FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar program with Team WRT, bowed out from Mercedes-AMG’s lineup at its end-of-year event in Valencia.

“I am touched,” Marciello said. “As a farewell present I was given the Spa winning car I drove as a model car and AMG made a cool, very emotional film for me.

“We all had another great evening together. I’m very grateful to Mercedes-AMG because without them I wouldn’t be here now.”

Marciello’s final outing as a Mercedes-AMG driver will come at Macau this weekend, where he will drive a Landgraf Motorsport-entered Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the World Cup.

To commemorate his final appearance for the brand, he unveiled a special helmet design that features images of the cars from some of his major achievements with Mercedes-AMG, as well as names of drivers and teams he competed with in his six-year tenure.
