Magnus Racing will remain with an unchanged driver lineup for the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup races this year, with Aston Martin factory driver Nicki Thiim rejoining John Potter, Andy Lally and Spencer Pumpelly for the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Confirmed on Friday, the GTD outfit is set to begin its 14th season of top-level sports car racing competition.

The quartet of drivers finished second in class in last year’s Florida endurance classic at the wheel of its Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

“We already had the WhatsApp chat setup with these drivers, so it seemed easier to continue as is,” said Potter. “Our goal at Daytona is also the same as last year, move up only one position from the year before.

“I’m excited to be back with these guys and so much of the same crew and with AMR again.”

Lally, meanwhile, is set for his 22nd consecutive Rolex 24 start, with Pumpelly embarking on his sixth with Magnus.

“I’m excited to begin another season with Magnus,” Pumpelly said. “We have traditionally started strong at the Rolex 24 where we have finished on the podium three of the last four years.

“It’s a great team of guys and bringing Nikki back is just frosting on the cake.”

Magnus will be one of two teams giving the yet-to-be-named Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo its competition debut in this month’s Florida endurance classic, alongside The Heart of Racing, which has cars entered in both GTD Pro and GTD.
