WTR Andretti Reveals Liveries for Expanded Acura GTP Effort

Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti has revealed the liveries for its two-car Acura ARX-06 GTP effort in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, including a red color scheme for its newly added No. 40 car.

The Wayne Taylor-led squad is set to expand to a two-car operation for the first time this season, becoming the sole Acura squad in the WeatherTech Championship’s top class after Meyer Shank Racing took a leave of absence from the series to focus on its IndyCar efforts.

The team has retained longtime backer Konica Minolta for its No. 10 machine, which has retained the familiar blue and black scheme it has carried for several years.

The car is set to be driven by Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque, Toyota FIA World Endurance Championship star Brendon Hartley and 2022 Indianapolis 500 winner Marcus Ericsson.

The sister No. 40 car, meanwhile, will sport a red livery with primary backing from DEX Imaging, which has already appeared on one of the team’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America cars.

The full season pairing of Jordan Taylor and Louis Deletraz will share driving duties with Colton Herta and Jenson Button at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The two cars also feature prominent branding from the Honda Racing Corporation.

“This year is a totally different year for this team because we’ve always only run one car,” said team owner Wayne Taylor.

“We’ve always wanted to run two and now we have the opportunity to do that. It’s made everybody really excited internally that we can now go compete against the big teams with two cars.

“We just have to do the best job in executing everything. I feel really good about the people we have hired and our existing people that we’ve had for a while – everybody seems very motivated.

“Having a two-car factory program, you really are now racing the whole field. I’m really looking forward to Daytona.”
