United Autosports has confirmed Josh Caygill as the sixth and final driver for its McLaren LMGT3 effort in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Caygill will share the No. 95 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo with Nico Pino and Marino Sato as the mandatory Bronze-rated driver in the lineup.

A former motorcycle racer turned sports car driver, Caygill most recently competed with United in the European Le Mans Series LMP3 class, taking two class podiums in 2022.

Previous GT3 experience for Caygill includes several outings in the 2017 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup with Team WRT, as well as the Sprint Cup a year later at the wheel of a Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3.

“I am absolutely over the moon to be racing the No. 95 McLaren in the World Endurance Championship,” said Caygill.

“This will be my first season on the world stage and in a McLaren! I am so excited for this opportunity.”

With the recent confirmations of Pino, as well as Bronze-rated driver James Cottingham and reigning Porsche Carrera Cup Brazil champion Nicolas Costa aboard the sister No. 59 McLaren, United has completed its lineup for its first GT3 campaign since 2015.

“Josh is another fantastic addition to our WEC team, completing a dynamic line-up in the No. 95 with co-drivers Marino Sato and Nico Pino,” said team CEO Richard Dean.

“His development with United Autosports over the past two years has been clear, celebrating a pole position and podiums along the way, and I know he will give his full focus to this new challenge in partnership with McLaren Automotive.”
