DXDT Racing has taken delivery of its two Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs ahead of an expected debut in Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS at Sebring International Raceway next month.
The North Carolina-based operation picked up the pair of Pratt Miller-built GT3 cars from the manufacturer’s headquarters in Michigan on Thursday, with the team set to undertake a testing program with at least one car at Sebring in the coming week.
Bryan Sellers and Scott Smithson, who drove a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in last weekend’s opening round of the season, are set to switch to the Corvette beginning at the Sebring round on May 3-5.
The timeline for the team’s second Corvette GT3 entry to come online is unclear at this point.
DXDT will become the first entrant with the new car in Fanatec GT competition worldwide, with the initial rollout of the car only slated for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, FIA World Endurance Championship and Fanatec GT America.
