Jake Dennis kept Century Motorsport atop the timesheets for the second consecutive session as he went fastest in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup Pre-Qualifying at Monza.
The No. 991 BMW M4 GT3 set a best lap of 1:45.306 to outpace the No. 25 Sainteloc Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II of Gilles Magnus by 0.238 seconds.
Dennis’ time was slightly slower than the 1:45.087 he set to lead Free Practice on Saturday morning.
The No. 991 BMW and No. 25 Audi also led their classes in Bronze and Gold Cup, respectively.
Sandy Mitchell took third aboard the No. 78 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2, ahead of the Andrea Bertolini-driven No. 52 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 led much of the early running.
The veteran Italian was only beaten to the top spot after the session’s second red flag, which was called to clear gravel of the track at Lesmo 2.
A third red flag, meanwhile, was required when Dennis’ Bronze-rated co-driver Darren Leung spun into the gravel at Variante Ascari, although he was able to continue.
BMWs held up both ends of the top five, with the No. 998 ROWE Racing entry of Max Hesse slotting into fifth place.
The No. 93 Sky-Tempesta Racing Ferrari took sixth, ahead of the Silver Cup-leading No. 26 Sainteloc Audi piloted by Ivan Klymenko that led Silver Cup.
Pro entries made up the remainder of the top ten, with the No. 71 AF Corse Ferrari narrowly ahead of both the No. 163 GRT Grasser Racing Lamborghini and No. 32 Team WRT BMW.
Track action for Fanatec GT Europe resumes with qualifying, scheduled for Sunday at 9:00 a.m. CEST (3 a.m. EDT).
