Daskalos Racing and CRP Racing crew chief Sheldon Miller has passed away following a battle with cancer.

Miller (pictured above, right) worked alongside driver Jason Daskalos throughout the 2024 GT America powered by AWS season while receiving treatment for Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer impacting the body’s endocrine and digestive systems.

He was the recipient of this year’s Jerome Zimmermann Award, which is presented to a crew member who showcases exemplary performance and passion for motorsports.

“Sheldon’s passing is a profound loss to the racing community,” said SRO America President Greg Gill. “He was a true professional, with a wonderful character, whose dedication inspired us all.

“More importantly, Sheldon was a kind and generous individual who made our paddock feel like a family. We extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones and the CRP Racing team during this difficult time.”

Under the direction of Miller, Daskalos finished third in last year’s SRO3 class championship standings in his CRP-run Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, claiming six wins.
