Enzo Trulli has been named Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific’s new Selected Driver for the 2026 season off the back of his performances in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia last year.

The son of ex-Formula 1 racer Jarno landed a funded seat in Carrera Cup Asia following his performances in last year’s Talent Pool assessment test at Sepang, before going on to win on his debut and finish second in the points behind Dylan Pereira.

He succeeds Dorian Boccolacci, who has been promoted to the position of a Porsche-contracted driver, with Alessio Picariello and Yifei Ye having also held the title in past years.

Trulli is also set to make his debut in LMP2 competition in the Asian Le Mans Series next month, with his program with PMAP to be finalized at a later date.

“It’s a dream come true to become the new Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver for 2026,” said Trulli. “I loved my time in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia last season and I learned a lot about Porsche and racing in Asia.

“The highlight of the year was my pole and win on debut in Shanghai, while also discovering new tracks in the region.

“My experience in the championship will be a huge help for me in the upcoming season, I loved the atmosphere and feel at each race, the fans are incredible in Asia and make every event feel special.

“I have a lot more to learn and it will be a busy year but I’ll work hard to adapt quickly and show my speed on track.”

Boccolacci competed in a variety of series with PMAP’s backing this year, with his main programs being in the GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS for Phantom Global Racing and the Nürburgring Endurance Series for Falken Motorsports.

The ex-Formula 2 racer also made cameos in GTWC Australia, SUPER GT, the Thailand Super Series and contested the Suzuka 1000km and the FIA GT World Cup in Macau.

Boccolacci becomes the second PMAP graduate to land a role as a contracted Porsche driver after Alessio Picariello, the Selected Driver in 2020-21.

PMAP Managing Director Alexandre Gibot said: “We’re delighted to welcome Enzo Trulli as the 2026 Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver, succeeding Dorian Boccolacci, who now moves on to an amazing next step in his career with Porsche.

“Dorian impressed us instantly and has consistently performed throughout his time with us, earning his place in the factory roster.

“It makes us extremely proud that Dorian is the second Selected Driver from our program who has stepped up to the position of a Porsche Driver.

“Enzo was excellent in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia this year and we see a bright future for him racing with us in 2026.

“The full details of his program will follow, but he will be actively competing in GT Sport both regionally and internationally, as we aim to take him to the next level of his career.”
