Haupt Racing Team will expand its efforts with the Ford Mustang GT3 next year, entering selected Intercontinental GT Challenge rounds in addition to a return to DTM, ADAC GT Masters and GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup competition.
The German squad, which debuted this year with the ‘Blue Oval’ with an already expansive program, is also adding selected races in the GT Winter Series, which takes place in Spain and Portugal.
It is also poised for expansion within IGTC, where the team contested the Nürburgring 24 and CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa this year.
One notable absence from its planned slate of series is the Sprint Cup portion of GTWC Europe, where HRT entered a single car for the majority of the 2025 season.
The team plans to utilize the new-for-2026 EVO version of the Mustang GT3 for nearly all of the championships.
“We are very much looking forward to the coming season, for which we are already preparing intensively,” said HRT CEO Ulrich Fritz.
“We are particularly looking forward to the races in the Intercontinental GT Challenge, as we will be competing in some very exciting events there with the Ford Mustang GT3.
“Preparations for the DTM, the ADAC GT Masters, the GT World Challenge, and our Nordschleife program are also in full swing.
“The insights we gained last year will help us further improve our performance and build on our strong results. It is sure to be an exciting year.”
Further IGTC-related announcements, including a rumored effort in the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, could be announced in the coming days.
The entry list for the IGTC season opener is due out Australian time on Friday.
