Creventic has announced the creation of the Prototype Cup Europe championship.

In partnership with the ACO and Michelin, Prototype Cup Europe will reward the championship winners with an automatic entry into the Michelin Le Mans Cup for 2027. This prize includes entry into the Road to Le Mans support race for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The series is an expansion of Creventic’s Prototype Cup Germany which has run for the past four years. It will feature the latest third-generation LMP3 machinery, utilizing a Toyoya-based twin-turbo V6 engine.

The opening two events of the four-race calendar at Mugello and the Nürburgring will act as support races to Creventic’s Michelin 24H Series.

The third round of the championship will take place at Monza, before rounding out the season at Spa-Francorchamps at the beginning of September. The championship finale will be a support race for the third running of Creventic’s Michelin 992 Endurance Cup.

Each event will consist of two 55-minute races, with separate qualifying sessions for each driver in a lineup.

Teams will be given additional testing time in the week before every event.

Driver entries can consist of a single FIA-rated Bronze or Silver driver, or a pairing of drivers in the Bronze and Silver grading range.

Gold rated drivers will be permitted to compete in Prototype Cup Europe, but only in a pairing with a Bronze driver and not as a standalone entry.

“We are proud to announce the fifth year of Prototype Cup. We look back at four successful years with ADAC and now continue the series with the latest generation LMP3,” said series coordinator Orry Lichtenberg.

“The LMP3 product is proven to be a great concept and we look forward to making the series more international as Prototype Cup Europe.

“Together with our longstanding partners ACO and Michelin, we aim to provide an additional program to the teams that already compete in the well-known LMP3 series.

“With no clashes with the Le Mans Cup we offer an appealing series for a reasonable budget.”

2026 Prototype Cup Europe Schedule:
March 20-22 – Mugello
July 3-5 – Nürburgring GP
July 31 – Aug. 2 – Monza
Sept. 3-4 – Spa-Francorchamps
