Longtime GT racing driver Cedric Sbirrazzuoli has died at the age of 39.

A cause of his death has not yet been officially disclosed but is understood to not be motorsport-related.

News of Sbirrazzuoli’s passing first appeared on AF Corse’s Instagram page on Thursday evening, with the following words: “You were a very talented, determined and professional driver, with that passion and desire to win that only belongs to those who really love racing.

“But you were also much more: an authentic, respectful and sunny person, capable of bringing healthy enthusiasm and your own special way of living your passion for motorsport.

“It has been a privilege to work and dream together.

“Your race stopped too soon. Your memory will keep running forever. We hug your wife, parents and all your loved ones with love.”

Sbirrazzuoli, who won the GTD class at the 2024 Motul Petit Le Mans with Conquest Racing, had been a longtime driver and coach in European and North American sports car racing, including in both GT World Challenge Europe and America, as well as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The Monegasque driver helped launch Dream Racing into Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America and IMSA GTD competition and finished third in the 2019 Lamborghini World Finals Pro division with the Las Vegas-based team.

After starting his pro racing career with AF Corse, Sbirrazzuoli returned to the Amato Ferrari-owned operation in 2021, racing primarily in Europe before also joining Conquest in late 2022 as one of Manny Franco’s first driver coaches.

He took part in a partial Pirelli GT4 America season with the Eric Bachelart-led team the following year before stepping into a Michelin Endurance Cup role with Conquest’s Ferrari 296 GT3 in 2024 and 2025, highlighted by class victory at Petit Le Mans.

His last pro race came at the 2025 Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, where he teamed with Franco and Daniel Serra to finish seventh in class.

Sbirrazzuoli, who married his girlfriend Martina in June, died on Thursday, which came on his 39th birthday.
