***A number of driver lineups, primarily in the Prototype Challenge class, have still yet to be confirmed. BAR1 Motorsports team owner Brian Alder told Sportscar365 they hope to finalize their two-car effort in the next few days, while Performance Tech team principal Brent O’Neill is looking to do the same, after two of its four planned drivers are now not expected to take part.

***The story of 16-year-old Dalton Sargeant, who was set to drive Performance Tech’s No. 38 Oreca FLM09, has been documented by FOXSports.com. Sargeant, who nearly won in his Prototype Lites debut last year, was denied a license to compete by IMSA due to his lack of experience. No fewer than four drivers, two with virtually no professional racing experience, are set to make their PC debuts at Daytona next week.

***With the Roar Before the Rolex 24 one week later than previous years, a number of IMSA teams have elected to keep their equipment in Florida instead of making the trek back to their respective headquarters across the country. Krohn Racing has set up shop in DragonSpeed’s workshop in Delray Beach, Fla., while others have also stayed South, with load-in at Daytona International Speedway set for next Tuesday.

***While not having its second car ready for the Roar, Tequila Patron ESM is expected to shake down its new No. 1 HPD ARX-04b prior to the start of on-track activities at Daytona next week. The P2 car was being built up in the Daytona garages during the Roar test.

***Entry lists for the Rolex 24 and BMW Performance 200 are expected to be released by the end of the week. The full schedule for the season-opening weekend can be found here.
