***Boutsen Ginion Racing confirmed it will enter a BMW M6 GT3 in the Blancpain GT Series. The new car was officially presented at the opening of Ginion’s new showroom in Wavre, Belgium. Fans will be able to see the car at the Motor Show Brussels, which opens on Jan. 14.
***Ombra Racing has acquired a new Lamborghini Huracán GT3. The Italian team ran Ferrari 458 Italia GT3s in the Italian GT Championship and International GT Open in recent years, but will switch to Lamborghini this season. Gianfranco Colleoni’s team is set to compete in the Blancpain GT Series and the Italian GT Championship.
***Toyota Gazoo Racing will unveil its new Toyota TS050 Hybrid on March 24 at Paul Ricard, prior to the FIA World Endurance Championship Prologue test. Drivers for the Japanese manufacturer’s LMP1 effort will be confirmed on Feb. 4, with Kamui Kobayashi widely believed to replace the retiring Alex Wurz.
***Timo Bernhard’s KÜS Team75 Bernhard will race in the ADAC GT Masters this season with a new Porsche 911 GT3 R. After three years in Porsche Carrera Cup Germany the team announced a single-car entry in the German series. Kevin Estre has been named as one of the two drivers.
***Reiter Engineering, in cooperation with KTM and SRO, has launched the Reiter Young Stars powered by KTM, a program aimed to elevate drivers up the SRO Motorsports Group ladder of championships. The best male and female drivers that compete with the KTM X-BOW GT4 in the GT4 European Series will receive a seat in the Blancpain Sprint Cup in 2017.
***One month after the Sepang 12 Hours, SRO announced Manthey Racing has already confirmed it will enter a pair of 2016-spec Porsche 911 GT3 Rs in the 2016 edition of the Sepang race, set to take place on Dec. 10-11.
***AF Corse is set to enter the Blancpin Sprint Cup this year with at least one Ferrari for Stephane Lemeret. The Belgian has confirmed plans to contest the SRO-run championship, along with a season-long campaign in International GT Open.
***Lee Mowle and Joe Osborne will continue in the British GT Championship this season. The pair will move to AmDTuning.com, the team graduating to GT3 with the ex-Triple Eight BMW Z4 GT3s. AmDTuning.com made its series debut in 2015 with a Porsche 911 GT4.
