Clearwater Racing’s driver lineup for the 24 Hours of Le Mans will comprise of the same trio that took the Malaysian team to the 2015/2016 Asian Le Mans Series GT championship, with Rob Bell, Keita Sawa and Weng Sun Mok confirmed for the French endurance classic.
All three drivers will pilot an AF Corse-prepared Ferrari F458 Italia, the 2014 Le Mans GTE-Pro class-winning chassis, which is now eligible for GTE-Am competition.
The joint effort between Clearwater and AF Corse will mark the team’s Le Mans debut, courtesy of Clearwater’s auto-invite for winning the Asian LMS title in a McLaren 650S GT3, thanks to two class victories and three podium finishes in the four-round championship.
It will mark the first Malaysian team to compete in the event in recent history.
