Action Express Racing leads the 52nd Rolex 24 at Daytona with six hours remaining in the twice-around-the-clock endurance classic.

The No. 9 Corvette DP of Burt Frisselle holds a narrow 15-second gap over Ricky Taylor’s Wayne Taylor Racing DP, who is in second.

The WTR Corvette DP had been out front through the early morning hours until making a pit stop just prior to the completion of the 18th hour.

AXR’s sister entry of Christian Fittipaldi has inherited third overall due to a puncture for the No. 02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley-Ford, which dropped it off the lead lap.

Ganassi’s misfortunes has promoted the No. 6 Muscle Milk Pickett Racing Oreca 03 Nissan of Lucas Luhr to fourth overall, the best of the P2 cars and the only one yet to hit any trouble.

Porsche still remains in control of GTLM, although reduced to just one of its 911 RSRs following internal engine issues for the No. 912 car of Michael Christensen in the 18th hour.

Christensen was running second at the time, right on the tail of class leader Patrick Pilet in the No. 991 car, who remains out front.

The No. 4 Corvette Racing C7.R of Robin Liddell now runs second in class, with the No. 56 BMW Team RLL Z4 GTE of John Edwards promoted to third.

The PC class has seen a back-and-forth battle between CORE autosport and 8Star Motorsports, with Mark Wilkins now out front in the No. 54 CORE Oreca FLM09.

An overnight charge by the No. 7 Starworks Motorsport entry has put the car back on the lead lap and also in contention for the class win.

Level 5 Motorsports continues to hold control of GTD, with the No. 555 Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 of Jeff Segal enjoying a one-minute lead over the No. 58 Snow Racing Porsche 911 GT America of Madison Snow.

Trouble hit the No. 63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari of Alessandro Balzan, which had contact on track and sustained a bent steering rack while running in second. The car is now in the garage and dropping down the running order.
