Team Parker Racing ended the Total 24 Hours of Spa Test Day on top, even though the opportunity was mainly used by teams to practice the endurance aspect of the upcoming race.
A very busy Spa-Francorchamps played host to almost 70 cars on Tuesday, in preparation for the 24 hour race at the end of July.
The No. 30 Bentley Continental GT3 of Team Parker Racing topped the time sheets after eight hours of running, with a lap time of 2:18.292 courtesy of Seb Morris.
The orange and white Bentley is actually running in the Am category, although Morris is a Pro-rated driver practicing for his British GT event at the same track this coming weekend.
Three Audi R8 LMS were fastest in the morning session, and it was the No. 1 car of Belgian Audi Club Team WRT that was absolute quickest.
Few lap times were improved in the afternoon, due to a rain shower that allowed teams to test their cars in different conditions. Morris’ best time was recorded at the start of the session, before the downpour.
The second best time of the afternoon session was also from a Bentley, but the No. 7 Team M-Sport car.
The Total 24 Hours of Spa takes place on July 30-31, although track action starts on Tuesday, July 26.
