Mike Conway will fill in for Ryo Hirakawa at the Four Hours of Le Castellet in August in the Thiriet by TDS Racing Oreca 05 Nissan, it was revealed on Friday.
Hirakawa is usually one-third of the French team’s European Le Mans Series lineup, which will head to the Paul Ricard fresh off a victory at last weekend’s Four Hours of Imola.
However, he will be racing in the Suzuka 1000km that weekend, the longest round of the Super GT Series in Japan.
To replace him for the French ELMS round, TDS will bring in Conway, a regular in Toyota Gazoo Racing’s LMP1 roster in the FIA World Endurance Championship. This will be Conway’s first LMP2 outing since 2013.
The Four Hours of Le Castellet is set for Aug. 28 and will be the fourth of six rounds in the ELMS season.
