A reduced field of 26 entries are set for the next round of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Mexico City.
The entry list for the Sept. 1-3 event at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez was officially released on Monday, confirming only a single Signatech Alpine A470 Gibson for the race.
ENTRY LIST: Mexico
As previously revealed by Sportscar365, Andre Negaro will replace Matt Rao in the No. 36 Alpine, with both the ByKolles Racing ENSO CLM P1/01 NISMO and the Tockwith Motorsport Ligier JS P217 Gibsons, both absent from the race, as expected.
It will result in the smallest grid for a WEC race since the season-ending round at Interlagos in 2014.
Additional single-race entries, however, are expected later this season, with Tockwith planning to return for Shanghai and Bahrain, with another addition to the LMP2 grid poised to contest at least two rounds.
Porsche will head into the fifth round of the season leading the World Championship, with a 30-point margin for Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and Earl Bamber following back-to-back wins at Le Mans and at the Nürburgring.
