The No. 55 Team Joest Mazda RT24-P of Harry Tincknell leads the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen following an incident-filled opening hour.

Tincknell holds a three-second lead over the sister, pole-sitting DPi entry of Oliver Jarvis, who paced the opening stages of the race prior to the first round of green flag pit stops.

The No. 7 Team Penske Acura ARX-05 of Ricky Taylor runs in third, although already 40 seconds behind the two Multimatic-built DPi entries.

Renger van der Zande runs in fourth as the highest-placed Cadillac DPi-V.R.

The action started from the drop of the green flag, with a heavy accident by Tommy Milner in the Esses that collected the No. 33 Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Ben Keating.

It was followed by drama for the DPi championship-leading No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi of Felipe Nasr, who drove into the gravel trap after having a left-rear puncture caused by debris from the opening-lap accident.

Eric Curran, now in the Action Express Racing-run Cadillac DPi, runs two laps down in 19th overall.

The No. 3 Corvette C7.R of Antonio Garcia now leads GT Le Mans after the class pole-sitting No. 67 Ford GT of Richard Westbrook briefly lost power just at the one-hour mark.

GT Daytona is being led by the No. 86 Meyer Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo of Trent Hindman.

Kyle Masson, meanwhile, it out front in LMP2 in his Performance Tech Motorsports Oreca 07 Gibson.
