Porsche Carrera Cup Asia ace Will Bamber is set for his FIA World Endurance Championship debut, having been confirmed in the No. 88 Dempsey-Proton Racing Porsche 911 RSR for this weekend’s 4 Hours of Shanghai.

The 25-year-old brother of 2017 WEC champion Earl will share the wheel of the GTE-Am entry with Porsche Young Professional Thomas Preining and Asian-based Italian gentleman driver Angelo Negro.

Bamber is set to pull double duty this weekend, also racing in the Carrera Cup Asia season finale with his and his brother’s EBM squad, which is fielding a total of five Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars.

Both Bamber and Negro were confirmed late Thursday ahead of the start of on-track activity on Friday.

It marks the third different lineup in the No. 88 car in three races so far this season, with Gianluca Roda and Ricardo Sanchez having joined Preining for Silverstone and Adrien de Leener and Satoshi Hoshino in the car at Fuji alongside the Austrian.
