A total of 31 entries are on the entry list for next weekend’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, which will close out the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
Released on Wednesday by IMSA, the entry list features eight DPi cars, six GT Le Mans entries, 13 GTD machines and a return to a four-car grid for LMP2, as expected.
Gabby Chaves has been confirmed in the No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R, subbing for Filipe Albuquerque, who like a handful of other drivers will be prioritizing other that weekend.
Chaves will join Felipe Nasr and DPi championship contender Pipo Derani in the Whelen Engineering-sponsored Cadillac.
No other major driver changes have been made to the DPi class, other than a third driver in JDC-Miller Motorsports’ No. 85 Cadillac still yet to be announced.
Both of the factory Porsches are poised to run two-driver lineups, as first reported by Sportscar365, while AIM Vasser Sullivan has elected not to split up Jack Hawksworth and Aaron Telitz, who both remain with a chance of the GT Daytona class title, although on unequal points.
Pierre Kaffer will join Andrew Davis and Rob Ferriol in the No. 30 Team Hardpoint Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo, taking the seat of Markus Winkelhock, who contested Motul Petit Le Mans with the team.
The No. 11 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo will return to action, meanwhile, after missing the ten-hour enduro due to clashing ADAC GT Masters commitments.
As previously announced, Joey Hand will sub for Alvaro Parente in the No. 57 Heinricher Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo, while Marc Miller will be in for Ben Keating in Riley Motorsports’ Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.
LMP2 has returned to four entries, meanwhile, with David Heinemeier Hansson rejoining the Tower Motorsport by Starworks Oreca 07 Gibson.
Guy Cosmo, Patrick Byrne and Don Yount make up Performance Tech Motorsports’ lineup while newly crowned IMSA Prototype Challenge champions Matt Bell and Naveen Rao will join Inter Europol Competition.
Track action gets underway on Thurs. Nov. 12 in a weekend that will also see the season-ending rounds for Michelin Pilot Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America and Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama.
