Eduardo Cisneros escaped injury following a horrific-looking accident in Saturday’s Oak Tree Grand Prix at Virginia International Raceway.
Contact was made between the No. 48 Paul Miller Racing Porsche of Marco Holzer and Cisneros’ GTC class-leading No. 31 NGT Motorsport Porsche, resulting in the two cars going off-course through the Esses.
The Venezuelan’s Porsche slammed into the armco barriers and then became airborne, somersaulting over the wall before coming to rest on top of the tire barriers. He quickly climbed from the car, miraculously uninjured.
“Our Porsche is a tank,” Cisneros said afterwards. “After what I just went through, I am lucky to get through this unscathed.”
Eduardo’s brother, Henrique, went onto score a third place finish in class aboard the No. 30 MOMO-sponsored NGT entry with co-driver Sean Edwards.
